There is no data protection officer, as none is required by law.

In brief

• This website sets no cookies.
• All services of this website run on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. We do not pass data to advertising or analytics companies.
• We only collect personal data if you sign up for the newsletter.

Hosting and server log files

The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a data centre in Germany. We have a data processing agreement with Hetzner (Art. 28 GDPR).

With every request the web server automatically stores: IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system (user agent), HTTP status code and amount of data transferred.

We need this data to deliver the site and to detect attacks and errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are deleted after 14 days.

Audience measurement with Matomo

To understand how the site is used, we use the open-source software Matomo. It runs on our own server (matomo.hivora.eu); the data does not leave it. We have configured Matomo sparingly:

• Matomo sets no cookies.
• Your IP address is shortened by its last two bytes before it is stored (e.g. 192.168.x.x), so it can no longer be linked to you.
• Only pages viewed, time on page, referrer, browser, operating system, screen resolution and language are recorded.
• We do not build profiles across visits and do not combine the data with other data.
• Raw data is deleted after 6 months.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is anonymous statistics to improve the site. Where information is read from your device, we rely on § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, your visit is not recorded.

Newsletter “Printstow” (interest list)

If you sign up, we will email you about the launch of Printstow and about news.

What we store: your email address, optionally your name, and the times of sign-up and confirmation.

Double opt-in: after signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link. You are only subscribed once you click it. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. We keep the times as proof of your consent.

Software: emails are sent with the open-source software Listmonk on our own server (newsletter.hornet-log.app). Your data is not passed to external newsletter services.

Spam protection: the form uses ALTCHA. Your browser solves a small computing task issued by our server. ALTCHA sets no cookies, loads no third-party services and builds no profile.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the newsletter; our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for spam protection and proof of consent.

Unsubscribing: every email contains an unsubscribe link, or simply write to info@mariolukas.de. After unsubscribing we delete your data; only the email address is kept on a block list so you are not emailed again by mistake.

Fonts

All fonts are served from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other providers is made.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the one where you live. An email to info@mariolukas.de is enough for any request.

The Printstow app

This policy covers the website. The app processes your documents only locally on your computer and sends no telemetry. It will get its own privacy policy when it is released.
